I.

Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 unlimited holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) FRIENDS could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ so that the holiday joy will spread.

Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

[ uno. ] Mix CDs! Either in digital format so they’re downloadable or an actual, physical CD that comes in the mail… I love getting / sharing music and especially love when people include random fandom-appropriate music on them [IE – musicals, Wrock, Pokemon music, video game / movie soundtracks, etc.] that people don’t think I have in my iTunes library already. Of course, I love “normal” music too, so really... just anything. xD

[ dos. ] Fanfiiiic. I have kind of… random fandoms, really. BSB, Dawson’s Creek, Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts, Fringe, Final Fantasy IX, and XII, Glee, the Chronicles of Narnia, [some] bandom, and Sonic are really all of them. If you’re interested in this I’ll tell you my favorite characters / pairings in comments.

[ tres. ] Cards with notes / doodles / personal messages! Simple one... I just like little notes in holiday cards. I freaking love looking at people I’ve met online’s handwriting. Somehow, it’s terribly interesting to me.

[ cuatro. ] Along the same line—letters! I haven’t had an honest-to-goodness penpal since I was about 14, so, if that’s something that’s up your alley, I’d love something like that.

[ cinco. ] And to be a bit materialistic... anything off my my Amazon wishlist would be awesome. I’m 100% okay with used things, so if you see something on there being sold for $0.01, that’s great! I’ll never know the difference and be super pleased / shocked. I even have the list mostly sorted by “priority” to keep it easy on everyone. Just, if you do this... add a note so I know who it’s coming from, yeah? <3

[ seis. ] Buy my book or the AugNo Anthology! We both win if you get my book [I’ll get like $1 in royalties, woo! And you’ll get an awesome book!] No one’s making any money off the AugNo Anthology, but it’s still freaking good... And the more interest we raise in this year’s, the more interest it’ll get for next year!

[ siete. ] Random packages with little trinkets things that make you laugh or stuff you like a lot that you think is worth sharing. One of my favorite things about college that I miss was getting random padded envelopes from my Grandma that contained a “movie night” [DVD from the $5 bin at WalMart that looked half decent, a bag of popcorn, a few of the $1 packs of candy, and $2 for a soda] or something.

[ ocho. ] Cadbury Chocolate Roses. Srsly, I sort of fell in love with those things in September and—naturally—you can’t buy them in stores here.

[ nueve. ] This one is mostly for the crew over at runaway_tales, since they’re super familiar with my stories, but honestly applies to everyone who’s interested... But I would heart having some fanart done for my characters. Or even milkshakes! That would be awesome too! ‘Twould be pretty freaking sweet to get either, really!

[ diez. ] Uh... I’ll always take random money / gift cards to pretty much anywhere... And this is only going here ‘cos I have no idea what else to put.
